A customized nest of her own.
Birdie’s house is one of my favorite playthings. We spend so much time playing in and around her house. Some days, it’s a real house with baby dolls playing in the yard; other days it becomes a pizza parlor, veterinary office or rocket ship.
Like our home, I wanted Birdie’s house to reflect her style and personality. With a little paint, flowers and accessories, we took her cookie cutter playhouse and turned it into a custom nest for our tiny bird.
The window boxes are my favorite feature on the house...and this window box is most perfect with the little nest!
I used individual faux flowers on picks to create each window box arrangement. Cut a piece of Florafom or Styrofoam to fit in the window box. Then, arrange your flowers and push the pick (stem) of the flower into the Florafom.
The house needed a chandelier, so I snagged a solar lantern and attached it to the ceiling with a small screw hook.
The original play house with an excited Birdie!
